Wuling Nepal is offering an eight-year or 150,000-kilometre warranty for the traction motor and high-voltage battery of its electric vehicle lineup in Nepal, with the coverage applying on whichever comes first basis.
The warranty comes as Wuling continues to expand its electric vehicle range in the Nepali market through Paramount Motors Pvt. Ltd., the official importer and distributor of the brand in Nepal.
Wuling currently has three electric models in its Nepal lineup: the Mini EV, Eksion and Darion. The models cover different segments, ranging from compact urban mobility to seven-seat electric MPV and SUV options.
The Mini EV is available in two variants in Nepal. The Mini EV Standard Range is priced at Rs 20,99,000, while the Mini EV Long Range costs Rs 22,99,000. The four-door, four-seat electric hatchback is aimed primarily at urban use and is offered with different battery and charging configurations depending on the variant.
The Wuling Eksion is positioned as a 5+2-seat electric SUV. It uses a 69.2 kWh LFP battery and a 150 kW motor producing 310 Nm of torque. Wuling claims a range of up to 530 km under the CLTC cycle and up to 440 km under WLTP. The Eksion is priced at Rs 57,99,000 in Nepal.
The seven-seat Wuling Darion is the largest model in the current lineup. It also uses a 69.2 kWh battery and a 150 kW motor with 310 Nm of torque. The Darion is priced at Rs 59,99,000 in Nepal and is positioned as an electric MPV focused on passenger space and family-oriented use.
The eight-year or 150,000-kilometre warranty covers both the electric motor and high-voltage battery. For EV buyers, battery warranty coverage remains an important consideration as the battery is one of the most significant components of an electric vehicle and can have a substantial impact on long-term ownership costs.
Wuling's current Nepal lineup therefore spans three distinct vehicle formats, with the Mini EV targeting compact urban mobility, the Eksion offering a 5+2-seat SUV configuration and the Darion providing a seven-seat MPV layout.
With the addition of long-term motor and battery coverage, Wuling is also putting greater emphasis on the ownership aspect of its electric vehicle range as competition in Nepal's EV market continues to grow.
